About SideFrog
Hi, I'm Mark. I retired early from Amazon at 56 and, like a lot of people with free time and too many ideas, I started messing around with building things.
I didn't know how to build a website. I had to figure out how to buy a domain, how hosting works and how to form an LLC. Two years later I have a GitHub account, an AWS account that runs my sites, and a way to go from an idea to a live site in a day. Claude helps me think ideas through and write the code. Gemini does most of the AI work on the sites because it's cheap.
SideFrog is the tool I wanted when I started: something that tells you straight whether an idea has legs before you spend money on it. Most of my ideas cost about $16 for the domain and close to nothing to run, so testing one is cheap. If you want the details, here's what it actually costs me.
When I'm not doing this, I mentor salespeople and build sales tools at QuotaBird. I moved to California recently after 15 years in Northern Virginia.
Nothing on SideFrog pays me. If that ever changes, the page with the link will say so.
And the frog?
The frog is Frank. He reads every idea that comes in and tells you what he thinks.
How SideFrog works
You type an idea. Google's Gemini reads it and writes the verdict, the sharper version, who'd pay and a first test. At the same time, SideFrog checks a dozen possible names against the .com registry live, and only shows the ones that are open. Your idea goes to Google’s Gemini to write the verdict; SideFrog itself doesn’t store what you type.
The verdict is an AI's quick read, not market research. The guides in the Break Room show you how to check it yourself.
Want help?
If you've got an idea and want help turning it into a real site, I help people vibe code their first one with AI: the domain, the page, getting it online. Pick a time on my calendar and tell me what you're working on, or send me a message on LinkedIn if that's easier.
